What Strelitzia keeps about you, how long, and how to delete it.

Your Data#

Strelitzia keeps what it needs to run the features you and your servers use: your profile and level, leveling records, reminders, tasks, form submissions, tickets you take part in, and any moderation records a server keeps about you. The privacy policy describes all of it in full. This page covers what you can do yourself.

How Long It's Kept#

Some of it goes on its own, without you asking:

  • Your leveling record in a server is deleted 30 days after you leave that server
  • Your account information is deleted 30 days after you're in no server that uses Strelitzia
  • Everything a server stored is deleted after the bot has been removed from that server

Deleted data can stay in database backups for up to 7 days, and in service logs for up to 90 days, before it's removed automatically.

Deleting a Single Form Submission#

Open Your profile → Submissions in the dashboard and choose Withdraw. The submission is deleted completely, including its files and the bot's posts about it in Discord. See Forms.

Deleting All Your Data#

  1. Sign in to the dashboard
  2. Open Your profile → Settings
  3. Under Your data, click Review beside Delete my data
  4. Check what will be removed. The list shows each server whose staff will be told
  5. Type DELETE to confirm

You're signed out once it's done. It can't be undone.

What Happens#

  • Deleted: your profile, level, money and items, server memberships, leveling records, reminders, personal tasks, and form submissions with their files. Moderation records servers kept about you, such as warnings, are deleted too
  • Your ticket messages are replaced with "[deleted]". Staff replies in the same tickets stay
  • Kept without your name: things you did as server staff, such as warnings you gave or tickets you handled, and your poll votes, which still count but are no longer linked to you
  • Kept as they are: messages someone else forwarded into a ticket, which belong to the person who reported them

If moderation records about you are removed, the staff of each affected server get a private notice that you asked, with how many records were removed. They never see what the records said. A ban in Discord itself stays in place.

Things to Know#

  • Your messages on Discord itself are not touched. Strelitzia can only delete what it stored
  • If you keep using Strelitzia afterwards, it starts new records from scratch. To stop that in a server, leave it
  • Can't sign in? Open a ticket in the support server and ask for your data to be deleted. Requests are handled within 30 days

Turning Off DMs#

  • Vote reminders: use the Turn off reminders button on any reminder DM, Toggle Reminder in /me, or turn off Vote reminder in Your profile → Settings
  • Task due dates: off by default. Turn it on in Your profile → Settings only if you want DMs for tasks assigned to you
