Monitor Add

Overview#

Put a member under watch. Everything the bot logs about them is collected into a thread of their own, so you are not reading one person's behaviour out of a busy server-wide log.

Behavior#

• Opens a modal for the member, a reason, which event types to watch, and optionally an expiry
• Creates a thread for that member and posts a summary of what is being watched
• Matching events are logged into the thread from then on
• With an expiry set, the monitor closes itself when it elapses and the thread is archived
• Works whether or not the server has audit log webhooks configured (a monitor is its own log)
• Requires the Moderate Members permission

Tips#

• Watch only the event types you care about. A monitor covering everything on an active member produces a thread nobody reads.
