Warn Add

Overview#

Issue a warning to a server member. Running the command opens a modal where you fill in the details of the warning.

Behavior#

• Opens a modal with the following fields:
  • User: Select the member to warn
  • Reason: Describe why the member is being warned
  • Severity: Choose a severity level:
    • Informational
    • Low
    • Medium: selected by default
    • High
    • Critical
  • Silent: Check this box to prevent a DM from being sent to the warned member
• After submitting, the warning is recorded and displayed with action buttons for Timeout, Kick, and Ban, letting you take immediate follow-up action if needed
• Unless the silent option is checked, the warned member receives a DM notification about the warning
• Warnings can be viewed with /warn list and removed with /warn remove
• Requires the Moderate Members permission

Tips#

• The DM notification may not be delivered if the member has DMs disabled for the server or has the bot blocked. If the warning is important, you may still need to reach out to the member directly.
