Fancy Send

Compose a message with embeds and components in the dashboard, and post it as the bot.

Overview#

Fancy Send is a message builder. You lay out embeds, buttons and sections in the dashboard, see what you are making as you make it, and post it into a channel as the bot.

It is for the messages a server needs to look deliberate, like rules, announcements, welcome posts, and role menus, where a plain message typed into Discord would not do.

Fancy Send may not be available on every server yet. See Beta Features if you cannot find it in your dashboard.

Using It#

  1. Go to the dashboard and select your server
  2. Open Tools → Fancy Send
  3. Build your message
  4. Pick the channel
  5. Send

The message arrives from the bot. There is no "sent by" attribution on it, which is the point, but see the note on permissions below, because it is also the risk.

What You Can Build#

  • Embeds with a title, description, colour, images, fields, author and footer
  • Components: buttons and layout sections
  • Plain message content alongside the embeds

The preview shows the result as Discord will render it, so you are not guessing at spacing or colour.

Mentions#

The bot never pings @everyone or @here, no matter what a message contains. That is enforced globally rather than per-message, so it cannot be forgotten or worked around from here.

Users and roles can be mentioned, because plenty of legitimate messages need to.

Who Should Have Access#

Fancy Send posts as the bot, which means anything sent through it carries whatever authority your members read into a bot message. Someone who can use it can write an announcement that looks entirely official.

It sits behind the Admin Tools permission in the dashboard, alongside Bulk Edit and Channel Setup. That grouping is deliberate (everything in it can reshape the server or speak for it), but it does mean you cannot currently grant "may post announcements" without also granting "may restructure channels". Keep the group small.

Common Questions#

Can I edit a message after sending it? Not from here. Fancy Send posts; it does not manage what it has posted.

Can I schedule one? No. For timed posts, a server reminder can be aimed at a channel, and poll sessions can schedule their own panels.

Why did my message not send? Almost always channel permissions: the bot needs View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in the target. Embed Links is the one people miss: without it the text arrives and the embeds silently do not.

Can I save a draft? Not currently. Build it in one sitting, or keep the text somewhere else until you are ready.
