Notifications
Get alerts when your favorite streamers go live.
Overview#
Notifications let you track streamers across Twitch, Kick, and YouTube and automatically post an alert in your server when they go live. You can also track YouTube VOD uploads separately from live streams. Each notification can mention a role, include a custom message, and post to any channel in your server.
Manage all notification settings through the dashboard. Members can view the list of tracked streamers in Discord with the /streams command.
How to Set Up#
- Go to the dashboard and select your server
- Navigate to the Notifications section
- Click Add Streamer and select the platform (Twitch, Kick, or YouTube)
- Enter the streamer's username or channel URL
- Choose the notification channel where alerts will be posted
- Optionally set a role to mention when the streamer goes live
- Optionally write a custom message to include with the notification
- For YouTube channels, choose whether to enable VOD notifications in addition to live alerts
- Save your changes. The bot will begin monitoring immediately
Configuration Options#
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Platform | Twitch, Kick, or YouTube |
| Streamer | The username or channel to track |
| Notification Channel | The Discord channel where alerts are posted |
| Mention Role | A role to ping when the streamer goes live (optional) |
| Custom Message | Additional text included in the notification (optional) |
| YouTube VOD Notifications | Separate alerts for uploaded videos, independent of live stream notifications |
You can add multiple streamers per server, each with their own channel, role mention, and message.
Tips#
- Use a dedicated notification channel to keep alerts organized and easy to find. Members can then follow or mute the channel based on their preferences.
- Mention roles sparingly. Create opt-in roles (e.g., "Stream Alerts") so only interested members get pinged, rather than mentioning @everyone.
- YouTube VOD notifications are tracked separately from live alerts. Enable both if you want your server to know about uploads and live streams.
- Custom messages are useful for context: for example, "Our community tournament caster is live!" tells members why they should tune in.
- Members can use
/streamsin Discord to see which streamers are currently being tracked without needing dashboard access. - Notifications are sent once per stream. The bot will not send duplicate alerts if a streamer briefly disconnects and reconnects.
