Reminders
Schedule a message to yourself or to a channel, once or on a repeat, from the dashboard.
Overview#
Reminders are scheduled messages. Set a time, write what you want to be told, and the bot delivers it: to your DMs, or into a channel on a server.
They come in two kinds. Personal reminders are yours, follow you across every server you share with the bot, and arrive by DM. Server reminders are aimed at a channel, so the whole server sees them: a weekly event notice, a monthly reset, a recurring rules nudge.
Creating One#
Everything happens in the dashboard.
Personal: open Your profile → Reminders and click New reminder.
Server: select the server, open Reminders, and click New server reminder. You pick the channel it posts into.
For either, you set:
- The message
- When it should first fire
- How often it repeats, if at all
Repeat Options#

Last day of month exists because "the 31st" does not survive February. Pick it and the reminder lands on the 28th, 30th or 31st as appropriate.
Where It Arrives#
Personal reminders are DMed to you by default.
If your DMs are closed to the bot, delivery falls back to the channel the reminder came from where one exists, which is the case for reminders raised off a todo. If there is no fallback channel, delivery fails and the reminder is marked as attempted rather than retried forever. A reminder does not queue up and fire eight times when you reopen your DMs.
Server reminders post into the channel you chose. They can mention roles if you set that up.
Todo Reminders#
Giving a todo a due date creates a reminder for it automatically. Those show up in your reminders list attributed to Strelitzia Todo rather than to you, so it is clear where they came from.
Manage the due date on the todo itself. The reminder follows it.
Managing Them#
The dashboard lists your reminders grouped by when they are next due (Overdue, Today, Tomorrow, and onward), so the ones that need attention are at the top rather than buried in a flat list sorted by creation date.
From there you can edit the message or schedule, or delete a reminder outright. Deleting a repeating one stops all future occurrences.
Common Questions#
Do I need to be in a server for a personal reminder? You need to share at least one server with the bot, so it can DM you. Beyond that, personal reminders are not tied to any particular server.
What time zone is used? Your own, set in Your profile → Settings. Set it before scheduling anything, or times will be interpreted in whatever the default is rather than what you meant.
Can a reminder ping @everyone?
No. The bot never pings @everyone or @here, on any message. Roles can be mentioned.
A reminder did not arrive. For personal ones, the usual cause is DMs closed to the bot. Check your privacy settings for the server you share with it. For server ones, check the bot can still see and post in the target channel; if the channel was deleted, delivery fails and is not retried.
Is there a slash command? Not currently. Reminders are managed from the dashboard.
